Featured during the month of August at the Starbuck's in Roscoe Village, 2023 West Roscoe, is the artwork of Helena Engel.At our Wishbone Restaurant location, 3300 N. Lincoln Ave, stop by and enjoy the art work of selected FOTA artists while enjoying a terrific dining experience.

Co-creation Art Show at Wishbone
Friends of the Arts (FOTA) in conjunction with the City of Chicago Artists Month October 2008 present “Co-creation.” In this exhibition eight pairs of artists – parents and their children, families with three generation of artmaking, couples and lovers, friends for over four decades and even pets and their owners – present art in various media showcasing how their relationships shape and affect their work. Artists include Margaret and Thomas Frerk; Gary and Valarie Gantert; Helena Engel, Anna Maria Niederman, Yolanda Lichtenstein and Andy; Marge Bolin and Dorothy Soltys, Katie Puetner and Melinda, Connie Hinkle and Jeff Levine and MK Czerwiec and Alice Bea, therapy dog. The exhibition runs from October 1st thru the 31st at Wishbone 3300 N. Lincoln Ave. An opening reception will be held with many of the artists in attendance on October 9th, from 6-9pm, and a closing reception on October 30th 7-8:30pm. Attached is further information on the artists and their relationship with their co-creators. 10% of the sales will be donated to a worthy charity of the artist choice including Center for the Department on Aging, the Open Door Clinic – Elgin/Aurora

Helena Engel: Going Green
Join us for a reception for the artist, Helena Engel, at Starbucks Coffee, 2023 W. Roscoe, from 7 to 9 pm. The exhibition explores environmental issues by recycling disposable materials into the texture, as well as the healing powers of the color green.
